I am a bondage fanatic.  I like to get tied-up, and even like to tie myself up when need be.  For years I have dreamed of being “kept” in bondage.  This dream has come to mean being bound for a long-term.  I mean by that being helplessly bound for a number of days.

I recently had a long-term bondage experience which lasted four days.  I was kept helplessly bound so that escape was impossible and resistance was futile.  This is the story of the experience.

I have structured this in three parts:

The Goal - a description of the experience, the goal of our efforts, and our planning to get there;

The Experience - a narrative on the experience itself; and Lessons Learned - a look back at it, my thoughts and feelings about it, and lessons learned about myself, the experience, and long-term bondage technique.  This story will be presented in instalments, one for each section.  I hope you enjoy it and find it informative, too.  I appreciate any comments you have.

LONG-TERM BONDAGE

PART ONE

THE GOAL:

In my bondage career I’ve experienced some periods of 24-hour bondage, and went three days last year continually bound, two of which were continually bound in a straitjacket.  Being the good fanatic and obsessive that I am, naturally I wanted more.  I began thinking about how to make a longer experience a reality and started talking about it with my friend Chris, who took care of me for that three-day experience.

When Chris had me in bondage for those three days it was the first such experience for each of us.  I wanted to get, and stay, restrained and Chris was willing to help.  I paid him for his time, which was a practical thing as we did this during the work week.  We created a “game” where if I got out, or he let me out, he would not get any money.  This served as a motivator.

For that experience we chose the Max CITA Psycho straitjacket and used a variety of ankle cuffs and fetters.  I’m obsessed with bondage and have a large collection of gear, accumulated over many years.  I have six straitjackets in my size, and even some that aren’t.  I have both roller buckle and pinch-buckle Poseys, the Max CITA, a nice Mr. S in white leather, a Humane Restraint, and a Pakistani Posey tie-back knock-off with too short sleeves.  In addition I have some novelty straitjackets in my size and a few that are too large or too small, just to add to my collection.  I have accumulated a number of steel handcuffs, leg cuffs, and assorted combination sets, and have leather cuffs for wrists and ankles, by Humane Restraint (HR), Mr. S, and other suppliers.  There are bed straps by HR, and locking straps to accompany their cuffs, too.

We modified a full-size bed by bolting 1/2 “ plywood along with slotted angle iron to the steel bed frame under the mattresses and attaching large steel angles coming up from the bottom alongside the mattresses.  To the foot end of the bed is attached a pipe which runs the width.  These restraint points are strong and secure, and not breakable by my strength.  All these additions were in place, save the pipe and one set of angles, for the first long-term experience.

I started those three days bound too tightly.  The straitjacket was too tight and became painful in a matter of six hours or so.  By nightfall and bedtime I was taken out of the SJ and put into cuffs and the Max CITA leg sack and left bound to the bed.  The next day Chris replaced the SJ, taking care to leave the straps looser.  I wore the Psycho for 48 consecutive hours after that.  We both learned from this experience about bondage technique and about long-term bondage experiences.  I learned, too, that I wanted more.

My desire for another long-term experience grew stronger and when circumstances began to align themselves permitting another experience, we began planning.  I wanted a longer experience this time, and I wanted it to be more intense.  I had too much input for the first time, which was appropriate, but wanted Chris to be in total control for this one.  Bit by bit the goal became clear: I was to be kept in a state of helpless bondage, a state of hopeless helplessness, even, for a period of 96 consecutive hours.  I would submit to Chris while he placed me in the first bondage position, placing myself under his control.  Once he was satisfied with that position we could “start the clock.”  I could then seek to regain control, to escape or loosen my bonds, or to even assert my will against him, struggling against him, rather than my bonds.  He would seek to use bondage technique and equipment to keep me helpless, hopelessly helpless, the entire time.  If he managed to keep me helpless for four days he would earn a bonus.

THE PLAN:

Having defined our goal it became possible to begin planning.  We analyzed the situation in terms of our goal and came to some conclusions: I will have some basic needs which must be provided for, such as food and elimination, your basic intake and output; secure bondage means being tied to something (see note below); and I would have to be moved eventually, if only to the toilet.  We planned for these realities.

We came to realize that I would spend most of my time strapped to the bed.  This was totally secure and easy for Chris to leave me there.  For defecation I would be bound to the toilet; at all other times I would wear a diaper.  Chris would not have me crap my diaper, and I was fine with that.  As it occurred I got a diaper change in the morning and another before bed.  At those times I was strapped to the toilet, whether I needed to be there or not.  It was merely a practical matter and a convenience for Chris.  I would eat bound to a strong chair or bound to the end of the bed.  Food that was easy to feed me was chosen, no soups or sauces, nothing very messy.  Chris ended up feeding me, mostly because of the eye patches.  That time I went two days in the SJ without eye patches I managed to eat off a plate.  It was inelegant, but effective.

There was some concern about getting me from one point to another, and also about changing my bondage state without losing control.  These phases were called transitions and were contrasted from the static conditions where I was securely bound to something. We needed some plans for the transitions, especially for the times when I had to be moved walking.

For one, as stated before, I would be kept in the Psycho straitjacket at all times.  The second most-important restraint was to be eye patches or a hood, which I would also wear at all times.  I have a few bondage hoods, but we decided to use the Max CITA hood that came with the Psycho ensemble.  However I have found I can peek out the nostril holes if I turn my head just so, getting little peeks of my surroundings, and this had to be prevented.  I found some medical eye patches and chose the ones made my 3M.  These were the Opticlude brand, in the larger size, meant as a “cure” for lazy eye, I suppose. These stayed on (almost) the entire time.  Put on when the eyes were open wide they could not be loosened by stretching them through that very act.  The adhesive is strong and I would not try to rub them off, even if I were able to do that.  They let some light through, but not much.  Even so, I found after a while that I kept my eyes closed the entire time, it just seemed more natural.

My ankles and legs needed to be controlled at all times. Analysis found my existing collection of cuffs wanting.  They would be difficult to work with during the transitions so I went looking around on the web for new cuffs and found some by Posey, their new Clean Cuff.  These locking cuffs have locking straps permanently attached to a strong staple embedded in the cuff by a swivel.  I saw by downloading a photo of them then blowing up that photo in Adobe Photoshop that there was some space behind the stable holding the swivel to the cuff which was enough for another strap to pass through.  There was potential and versatility here!

I set about ordering some immediately: since Posey won’t sell to the general public, I had Juronco order them for me, along with some other locking straps of the same material.  I was put in these cuffs five or six hours into the first day and wore them continually for the duration.  Chris used the additional 6-foot locking strap as a control strap, threading it through the staples on each cuff so that it could be pulled tight and locked, locking my ankles together, and/or locked around something, particularly the bed, tethering me.  In addition, and most importantly, this strap could be grasped at one end, and even passed through the D-ring on the waist of the Psycho, creating an instant hog-tie that when pulled would serve to trip me as my ankles were first pulled together, then pulled up and hog-tied to the straitjacket.  The locking buckle on this strap prevented the strap from being pulled through the staple on the cuff. Not only could the control strap lock to its own buckle, but another straps’ lock served could be used threaded back on it to limiting the movement on the control strap.  This proved to be a versatile and secure setup, one which Chris could rely on in a number of positions, for a number of requirements.

This was totally effective.  Chris could use the strap on one cuff to connect the two together, creating a hobble for walking.  The control strap could be used as a leash and for intimidation, as a good tug on it would jerk my ankles

together, tripping me.  I did not need to be tripped by it to find out, Chris tried it before the main experience and I became convinced that it would work.  Once I was bound and helpless I did not want to injure myself in a fall, and knowing that struggle would only result in a fall and possible injury, I became compliant when being led around.  Along with the straps permanently attached to the cuffs, the control strap provided Chris with a versatile and robust means of restraining my legs and lower body.  (See Photo 5)

Humane Restraint torso straps were used on the bed.  There were four tie-down points on the bed of which Chris used three.  He used both locking and non-locking straps, placing the locking ones wherever I might reach the buckles through the straitjacket sleeves.  Also attached to the bed were dog leads or leashes which Chris used on the collar attached to the Psycho, on a nylon choke collar I wore, or on the D-rings of the jacket.  The bed also had a pipe running the width of the bed attached securely to the frame with three steel angles.  This can be seen in a couple of the photos, Photo 5 for one.  We set a ring in the floor at the foot end of the bed, also.  These features provided a versatile and secure static point which was comfortable for hours on end.  Because of these features I came to spend almost all my time in bed.  I can’t give an accurate guess, but surely more than 80% of my time, perhaps as much as 90%, was spent in this bed.

I’d have to spend some time on the toilet.  This needed to be a static point.  Chris secured a canvas strap with a D-ring  to the base of the toilet, and secured a clip to this for my ankles.  He had a strap available to lock over my lap once I was seated.  I could not get up in this position, and could not kick out.  It may have been possible to break the toilet, but I didn’t go there.

Chris made other arrangements for the chair.  We had experimented with it previously and I had on my own.  There were places to add straps and my legs could be drawn up and back in a very secure way. Chris also had a chain in the living room secured to rings on the floor to serve as a tie-down there.  He later used a steel pole in my basement and a tie-out post meant for a dog in the back yard to tether me to.   Meals were to be easy to eat and we bought some Ensure-brand nutritional drinks.  On an online diaper site we found a diaper rating/test and got some Abena diapers with their large stuffer.  These had the highest rating.  These arrangements were the foundation of the tactical planning.

On the strategic side we planned to maintain a state of hopeless helplessness, escape-proofing everything.  I have some experience and there’s an excellent article online about Thwarting a Straitjacket Escape. Once in a straitjacket there are but a few ways to get out by oneself, and Chris thwarted them all: I could not work the straps loose by tugging them repeatedly for he fastened them in a special way by passing the end back through the toothed part of the buckle; I could not slip my arms over my head due to the loop in from of the jacket, the loops on the side, and a strap that ran over my upper arms and fastened behind; I could not pull the jacket off over my head due to the two crotch straps; I could not work my feet through the crotch straps as my ankles were bound together and/or to something immovable; I could not rub the buckles against anything to loosen them as I was always bound to something, eliminating that option; I could neither cut my way out nor use an object such as a screwdriver to loosen the buckles, as no such objects were available.  Further, I could not see.  And Chris made sure to take care never to loosen any bonds without having another applied.  This strategy guided Chris in keeping me helpless and in making it impossible for me to change that state of helplessness.

We set aside four days for the bondage experience and I allowed another day for recuperation afterwards.  We had assembled all the gear and wrote a contract, which we each signed.  If I hurt myself or for whatever reason, if authorities got involved, then the contract would serve to make it clear that this was an entirely voluntary experience (too, I imagine that anybody seeing my collection of gear might believe that I’m into this!).  A store of solid food was laid by, along with the nutritional drinks.  Once I set aside my reservations or mixed feelings we were ready to begin.
