Cell 19

Welcome to Cell 19, the home of Gaz and Graham.

For those interested in simple background, we are a gay male couple aged 41 and 51, have been together for just over 2 years. We have a “healthy” (?) interest in restraints and straitjackets, and have much equipment available.

Our aim with this page is to showcase some of that equipment periodically, so that those of you who have not seen or used such equipment might have a better understanding of it.

We are more than happy to “entertain” visiting patients/detainees, part6icularly those who are considering purchasing equipment but would like to sample it first. Or perhaps you need some enforced relaxation therapy? Maybe your own Master/Mistress needs a rest from you, or is away, then perhaps we could accommodate you for the period!!!!!

Feel free to email us if you wish to be admitted for therapy, or if you have a particular item that you wish showcasing. If we don’t have the gear ourselves, we probably know a man who does!!!!

BED BLANKET

The current showcase is a bed blanket restraint, commonly known as a bed net. This was sold to Graham approximately 25-30 years ago and is believed to be an early Posey. However, as you will see from the pics, “bed net” is rather an inaccurate name, it is far from being a net !!!!! It is constructed of heavy canvas, almost similar to the old style fire blankets commonly found in commercial kitchens. Unfortunately, our scales will not take the weight, so it is well over 5kg in weight. We think probably about 10kg.

Graham modelled this item and said that it was very secure once tied down. As you can see from the last picture, he definitely seems to be enjoying his enforced relaxation!!

Obviously, we suspect that originally there would have been a system of easily attaching it to the beds perhaps, rather than just crude ropes. And what you must remember, is that Graham was a willing participant !!! As a psychiatric nurse myself, I would not like to try and fit this cumbersome product onto an unwilling patient, it is not an easy to fit design.

Posey Bed Net

Carrying on the main theme of beds again, this time we have a more modern version of the Posey Bed Net. Again, as you can see it is not exactly a net, but more like parachute silk with cotton webbing straps. Although in many ways it is designed to be more comfortable than the version shown in May, it does seem that the arm straps could have been attached in a more comfortable position, slightly lower down the side of the body. It is however, much lighter, and I am told by the patient that it still feels quite secure, and comfortable. Also as you will see, this version has integral webbing straps and D rings in order to attach the bed net to the bed.

As I am sure you can see, it doesn’t do him any harm!!!!!

The cell and its equipment are available for detainees to be booked in. Feel free to email us direct using cell19_2004@yahoo.co.uk

Note the addition of fleece on
the neck area. Also note the
