Simple Rope Tie

Start with the simple Lark's Head knot around the wrist or ankle.

Take the free ends and loop them back over and through the bight (thanks Phil G for the heads up on the spelling)  of the rope to either side of the original rope ends.

Pull the rope ends tight and you will get a locked knot that looks like this. By pulling on the free ends, the knot locks in place and does not tighten further, but by sliding the formed loops up the rope ends, you can tighten the loops for less free space inside the binding.

Another view of the completed knot. The two free ends can then be used to secure the binding very easily to any object. This tie will be comfortable even if left on for a very long time as even with a lot of play, it will not tighten up on the limb. The knot locks in place and does not tighten further, but by sliding the formed loops up the rope ends, you can tighten the loops for less free space inside the binding. fasten the tails out of reach of busy fingers to finish off.
