A common problem, how to get started and it certainly was for me. So how exactly do you start? Well the best place to start I guess is to meet people with the same interest as you, so you can discover, learn and refine those interests. The best way I have found and probably the safest, is to meet people at your local Munch. These are gatherings of people, often inexperienced (like we all were once) along with experienced players in a location, often a restaurant/pub or other non-lifestyle establishment. These gatherings are geared toward giving people a chance to explore their interests and meet new people in an atmosphere that is safe, and does not label them as being associated with an alternative lifestyle. In fact, alternative dress is usually discouraged to maintain this protection. Check with the organizers of your local munch to find out their particular restrictions.

In the UK an excellent place to find info on your local Munch is via the Yahoo B2G group page. The main Group is Midlands based but people from all part of the UK regularly post messages. The link is lower down this page. I'm sure if you join and 'post' on the site the organisers of your local munch will pick up your enquiry and will give you the information you want.

Incidentally, if you run a Munch group in the UK or anywhere else for that matter, please send your link/contact details in and we'll be happy to include it in our links. (We have one guy in Greece who is trying to make local Munch contacts if anyone can help?)

If you are chatting with people online that you are thinking about meeting in person, please follow some of the rules here. They will work to keep you safer from harm. Once you have decided to proceed with play with an individual, you should consider filling out a Fetish Consent/Play Form.
