I must confess I love your site The Institute. Would that it were a real
place, not just a virtual place. If it were, I suspect I would be a
regular visitor, if not a permanent resident!
On a personal not, I am a strong proponent of being heavily diapered and
put into both bondage and servitude, not only for the personal hygiene but
also for the incredible feeling of (both!) submission and inferiority they
provide. Nothing says it better than your own "Diaper Domination" essay
included in your side.
As a submission, may I offer the reminder to re-read your

It is real easy to rub the buckles against a piece of furniture and work the straps loose. Also, the Posey gets quite uncomfortable after a few hours. How secure and comfortable is the Cita? Would it be possible to work the straps loose, or are they much more secure than the Posey? How about spending an entire night in it? I have used the Vlesi-slip NIGHT diapers
successfully for several years - very handy for a long session in a
straitjacket, and a fun overnight or even daytime punishment.
Never believe the ISO capacity ratings of
diapers: they are valid only for (defined) test conditions, but they do at
least provide a standardised comparison point. In practical terms I find
the night diapers capable of holding two bladderfulls without overflow or
leakage, but they are very dodgy for a third time. It's interesting to note
that diapers generally perform *much* better when used little and often,
instead of one big drench. I figure the useable capacity is probably about
two to three pints, which is a useful rule of thumb to apply to the ISO
ratings on other products (i.e. divide the stated capacity by 3 for
BDSM-type use!). I have not tried the non-night ones; my experience with
other brands suggests the performance will be markedly inferior.
When dry the Vlesi-slip diapers
(See Knight-Air on he LINKS page) are thin and
pretty quiet, and are very comfortable. As they fill they naturally become
bulkier in the crotch. The wicking action is fairly good, and the one-way
layer does a reasonably good job of keeping the skin dry - ceratinly for the
first wetting, anyway.
As with all disposable diapers the leak
performance is critically dependent on the fit. The best way I've found is
to put them on lying down, adjusting the diaper for most comfortable
position, then securing the leg bands as tightly as practical. The upper
fastenings are far less critical. If the wearer intends any significant
physical activity - or a long session - then the lower tabs should be
over-taped with about six inches of gaffa [gaffer, duck, duct] tape (not
parcel tape). This will ensure that the tabs don't come adrift, which leads
to leakage. It also spreads the fastening stress over a much larger area,
reducing the (very slight) tendency to split the outer waterproof layer if
overstressed.
Whilst these diapers are pretty good on their
own, they benefit from the additional protection afforded by a really good
pair of waterproof plastic (PVC) pants. Rubber and latex work too, of
course! These pants fulfil several functions: first, they are tougher than
the diapers' waterproof layer and thus more resistant to tearing. Second,
they provide an additional barrier against leaks. Thirdly, the pants
provide additional support as the diaper fills and becomes heavier, teducing
the tendency for the crotch to head for ones knees at inopportune moments.
Unlike some of the cheaper designs, Vlesi-slip diapers are very capable of
dealing with - er - solid matter, owing to an internal containment
barrier. When used with good plastic or rubber pants a bowel movement
will be contained for severl hours - overnight if suitably restrained ;-)
- but there's nothing much which will contain unpleasant odours.

imagine that most of you have heard the expression "padded cell" at some
point, but how many people have actually been inside of one. Well, thanks to the
Kaikoura Museum I can now say that I am not only one of the few people who have
had that opportunity, but was also able to get out of there and write about it.
It seems that the original jailhouse in Kaikoura had one of its cells padded
with thick, relatively soft material (at least it might have been nearly 100
years ago) on the walls, doors and even floor. Unlike many museums that I am
more accustomed to, in this one you were actually allowed to walk inside the
original cell and try and imagine what it must have felt like to be locked
inside. I for one can say that as crazy as the world might seem some times, I
would still much rather be on the outside than on the inside of that one.
